Three Years!

I've had this blog for three years now (Wow, I thought it was two!) and from the feedback I've received, I know I'm not the only one who enjoys it. That makes me a happy blogger. :o)

I really tried over the year to even out the posts and put in a variety of different couples from television & movie couples, celebrity couples, and Just Us. Sometimes it was hard to strike a balance, like this past summer. My email was flooded with pictures of wonderful couples and I just had to post them all!

Many people have asked me to post a picture of me and mine, and I eventually promised that I would so somewhere in the last two years of couples is mine. You can speculate as much as you'd like but I won't give a definitive answer.

I will continue to keep up the blog as long as I am able. My email remains the same (not put directly in any text to avoid spam and bots.) I refuse to put posts that will cause arguments and disruption - this is a peaceful blog. There are plenty of other places on the Internet to throw out opinions that incite.

Finally, a big thank you all of you who have placed Just Like Me Couples in your Blogrolls or who have clicked on the button to follow. I truly appreciate your support.

Being in an interracial relationship myself, I had long searched the web for something like ur blog.
I think u have done a wonderful job at mixing celebrities & normal people.
Keep doing the good job.

And happy anniversary :)

If this is a place for positive vibes and no drama, then why no definitive 'this is us' post? Lead by example.....there certainly will not be judgement here.

Hi Rosanna,

It isn't judgement from my audience I'm worried about. My job is such that any online action (Facebook, blogs, Twitter) is subject to someone's reaction - and that reaction could cost me my job. Even writing an editorial response in my local newspaper could get me fired! My financial situation and the economy at large does not allow me a good quality of life should that happen.

As far as being positive and without drama, I'm referring mainly to trolls who challenge everything on this blog from why I made the blog to my supposedly "ugly" couples and appear to have nothing better to do with their time.

Thank you for asking though,

you are so effective with this blog, makes the case for specializing and focussing on a Unique Selling Point, as they say!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this site!!! You are a wonderful, inspirational person. Having been raised a white girl in a white town, also with New England roots, I try to teach my children the importance of diversity and acceptance of ALL no matter how we are different. Some are "different" on the outside, some on the inside, but we are all different in our own way and those differences are what make us special and truly unique. I truly love this site and am so glad I discovered it. Thank you!
