Alisha and Carlos met in Granada, Spain, early 2003 while Alisha was participating in a study abroad program. After a whirlwind romance, Alisha decided to stay in Spain, and the two moved to Madrid. They got married about 4 years later in Miami, Alisha's hometown, at one of the couple's favorite spots on the beach. The newlyweds settled down in Madrid and went into business together.
