TV: Guinevere and King Arthur

Guinevere (played by Angel Coulby), a maidservant to Queen Morgana, at first dislikes Arthur (Bradley James), a prince. When there is a threat to the prince's life, she cares for him and a seed for change in her feelings toward him is planted. Over time their bond grows even through tragedy, betrayal, and magic. Eventually King Arthur proposes to Guinevere making her his queen.

Merlin was a TV series that ran from September 2008 to December 2012 on BBC. When is premiered there was a bit of a dissension over a woman of color cast as Guinevere.

TV: Dr. Allison Blake and Sheriff Jack Carter

Sheriff Jack Carter (played by Colin Ferguson) and Dr. Allison Blake (played by Salli Richardson-Whitfield) have finally married! The two were hit and miss for several years as Allison and Jack found themselves in relationships when the other was not. This year, however, the match was made. Jack has a daughter in college, while Allison has two children from two previous significant others. Eureka is currently in it's fifth and final season, watch for some season ending surprises.

TV: Dr. Naomi Bennett and Dr. Gabriel Fife

Dr. Naomi Bennett (played by Audra MacDonald) meets Dr. Gabriel Fife (played by Michael Patrick Thornton) by bumping heads over a procedure.  Naomi is an ob/gyn and Gabriel is a genetic specialist and the two disagree over a couple of patients. Soon they aren't bumping heads, but lips. There are some ups and downs, especially when Naomi has some issues with her job and her daughter.  That doesn't stop her from running after something that was going right.


This couple no longer on Private Practice, on ABC, as the two moved to New York at the end of Season Four.

TV: Dr. Lanie Parish and Javier Esposito

Dr. Lanie Parish (played by Tamala Jones) is in a hot and heavy relationship with cop Javier Esposito (played by Jon Huertas).  Lanie can see the tension between her friend Kate Beckett and Kate's best selling author charge, Richard Castle, and hopes she can influence Kate into action...by example. She's probably so happy with her own relationship that she needs to see her friend happy as well. But this is TV land, and happiness doesn't keep an audience so you'll need to stay tuned. You can see this couple on Castle shown on ABC.

TV: Dr. Camille Saroyan and Dr. Paul Lidner

Dr. Camille Saroyan (played by Tamara Taylor) and Dr. Paul Lidner (played by Elon Gold) are working on their fledgling relationship which is difficult when both of them are doctors in completely different fields. Camille is a pathologist and the Head of the Forensic Department at the Jeffersonian Institute while Paul is an obstetrician. With such demanding jobs the two have recently committed to making time for each other.

Bones is a TV series about the pairing of a forensic anthropologist and an FBI agent solving crimes. It is based on the book series by Kathy Reichs (who also serves as one of the show's producers). The show started airing on FOX in 2005 and is currently showing Thursday nights.

Tamara Taylor is the daughter of a Canadian interracial couple.

TV: Stephanie Layne and Kenny Moritorri

Stephanie Layne , a journalist (played by Kellee Stewart), went with her best friend and college roommate, PJ, to a restaurant. PJ introduced Stephanie to a waiter Kenny Moritorri (played by Michael Bunin). Unfortunately for all of them, poor PJ included, Kenny and Stephanie did not get along.

It isn't like Stephanie couldn't do without Kenny's ill manners. She is a successful self -help author. But she traded snide remarks with Kenny, now an owner of a sports memorabilia store. Until one fateful night they got together without cutting each other down. They have been together ever since, working out their differences and sharing their very different lives.

Stephanie and Kenny were on the TV show My Boys on TBS which was cancelled September 14, 2010.

TV: Christina Hawthorne and Tom Wakefield

Christina Hawthorne (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) is a nurse, widow, and mother of a teenager who spent the last year trying to be all three successfully. Now she's having to acknowledge feelings she has for her co-worker Dr. Tom Wakefield (played by Michael Vartan). The show, in its second season, may not last as the reviews of the show have been negative. Let's hope that there is more of their developing relationship.

TV and Movies: Hoban and Zoe Washburne

Zoe Alleyne (played by Gina Torres), loyal follower and second in command to Malcolm Reynolds, serves on his vessel after the Unification War on his spaceship Serenity. Hoban (played by Alan Tudyk), a talented pilot who goes by the nickname Wash, gets hired by Mal and falls in love with Zoe. The two are a wonderful team.

Firefly, a TV series, ends in Serenity, a movie, both created, written and/or directed by Joss Whedon. Both are available on DVD. There is also a comic book continuation.

TV: Rose Henderson and Bernard Nadler

Rose Henderson (played by Laverne Scott Caldwell) and Bernard Nadler (played by Sam Anderson) married after dating for five months, despite Rose's recurring fatal cancer. Bernard, in an attempt to save Rose's life using a faith healer, takes the two of them to Australia for their honeymoon. The faith healer fails, but Rose tells Bernard that she is well and the two take the trip home only to have the airplane split in midair. Bernard, who left his seat to go to the restroom, is separated from his wife and the two crash on separate parts of an island.

There are SPOILERS in this post about the last season of Lost. If you are not currently watching this season, read no further.

This all happens in the first season of the ABC drama Lost. The two of them reunite in the second season, and in seasons five & six (final season) they are shown separating themselves from the rest of the drama by finding a cabin and living alone, happy with each other on the island.

TV: Zoey Andata and Demetri Noh

Engaged, criminal defense attorney Zoey Andata (played by Gabrielle Union) and Special Agent Demetri Noh (played by John Cho) are a couple unsure of their future because of their FlashForwards.

FlashForward is a science fiction drama which premiered in September 2009. The characters, for the most part, simultaneously see a vision of themselves in the future, and the show focuses on their actions after this event. For Zoey and Demetri, this may mean they don't get married as they planned.

TV: Tom and Helen Willis

Married for 34 years, Tom (played by Franklin Cover) and Helen (played by Roxie Roker) Willis, nee Douglas, were the neighbors of George and Louise Jefferson. They had two children, Jennifer (Jenny) and Alan.

The Jeffersons was a TV sitcom that aired from January 1975 to June 1985. It is the longest running series to feature a predomninantly African American cast.

My Comments: As far as I know, this is the first Just Like Me couple to be featured on television.

TV: Dr. Eve Russell and Julian Crane

Call girl and jazz singer, Eve Russell nee Johnson (played by Tracey Ross) and Julian Crane (played by Ben Masters) fell for each other very quickly when they first met. They conceived a child, but did not stay together. Later, Eve turned her life around becoming a doctor, getting married, and having two more children. Eve and Julian crossed paths again. They became engaged after she divorced her husband. Things were rough for them, and considering the two lived in Harmony, rough included a lot.

Harmony is the hometown of Passions, a soap opera that aired from 1999 to 2008. The two actors played their roles for the full run of the show.

My Comments: I originally posted this under the heading "Watch" because from my searches on the Internet, I'd determined that they were a couple. As a result of more recent searches, I cannot find information that confirms the two are dating.

To see my reasoning, please look at the comments with this post. And to try to squelch more misunderstandings, I have left the links to Tracey Ross and Ben Masters, as well as added those of Tracee Ellis Ross even though I do not do that with TV posts. My hope is that people will read the links.
