TV and Movies: Hoban and Zoe Washburne

Zoe Alleyne (played by Gina Torres), loyal follower and second in command to Malcolm Reynolds, serves on his vessel after the Unification War on his spaceship Serenity. Hoban (played by Alan Tudyk), a talented pilot who goes by the nickname Wash, gets hired by Mal and falls in love with Zoe. The two are a wonderful team.

Firefly, a TV series, ends in Serenity, a movie, both created, written and/or directed by Joss Whedon. Both are available on DVD. There is also a comic book continuation.

Keisha Bolton and Wilco Van Kleef

Keisha Bolton and Wilco Van Kleef are the worlds tallest married couple according to the Guiness Book of World Records(2009, see update). Keisha met Wilco searching for a dance partner through the UK Tall Person's Club, and they married in 2001.

Update: A couple in California, the Hallquists, have now been named the world's tallest couple by Guiness.

My Comments: Only one tag for this one. I try hard to find something that gives a background on the people I post about. I don't like making assumptions. I haven't found enough information about Keisha to add any tags, including not knowing if they should be included on the blog. But I've seen their names often enough on the Net that I'll go for it. But if anyone has more info, I'd be happy to hear it.

Movies: Theresa Jones and Simon Green

Theresa Jones (played by Zoe Saldana) decides to take her boyfriend, Simon Baker (played by Ashton Kutcher) home to meet Mom and Dad on her parents' 25th wedding anniversary. The Joneses are black and Simon is white, which Theresa fails to mention. Dad isn't happy. He tries anything he can to break them up including digging into Simon's background. Which wouldn't be a problem except that Simon just quit his job. There is a happily ever after...

Guyana born Maiko Watson is a singer and was a member of the group Sugar Jones. Remy Shand is a Canadian R&B/soul singer. The two married in 2001 and divorced in 2009. Although they did not separate amicably, they are open!
